Dear Juno, i think you chose the best option for you because you were not ready to become a mother yet. You were just a teenager. You turned this scary situation into a gift for someone who was ready to become a mother, and that was very brave of you. It must of been such a overwhelming decision whether or not to keep the baby.
In the movie you lived so close to the store, so why didn’t you just go there and buy condoms prior? Although in the movie as you move further along in your pregnancy and start learning whats out in the real world you discovered so much more about life after highschool. That beneath the surface i forget his name but vannessa’s husband even at the age he was was to afraid to speak up about not wanting to have a child just yet. That people can still be immature after your out of school. That a picture from the paper of this ‘perfect couple” is not what it seems. Everyone faces some sort of obstacle wheter its personal or whatever else it is there going through. As you watched there life behind the scenes you were exposed to a new opening that not everything is as it seems.
I think adoption was the right option, not only for the baby but also for you because you learned and matured througout the process, If you wouldn’t of had this baby you would still be moving about your life without a idea of what happens around outside in the real world. Im not saying that it was good to have a baby because of carelessness but it was good for you because you needed the push to move foward into the path of adulthood.
Personally i would do adoption because i dont think i could handle the emotional devestation of knowing that it could of lived a life and because it wasn’t right for me i robbed it of its chance to go out and see the world. But for some people abortion might be an option because of various circumstances. I am mainly prolife but i feel it is not my say in what people do with there body. It is such a personal choice that its unfair to tell someone they cant because of their beliefs.
